Find My Healthcare Provider is a 501©3 non-profit that began in 2023. FMHP serves as a resource and referral service to assist in connecting trans and trans-questioning youth to appropriate gender-affirming healthcare and support wherever they live.

Our organization is dedicated to ensuring that every young person on the journey of gender dysphoria has unimpeded access to the healthcare they require. We prioritize precision in diagnosis and believe in the power of providing comprehensive and compassionate care. FMHP fosters an environment that values inclusivity, respect, and understanding, striving to be a beacon of support for individuals and families undertaking the path of gender affirmation.
FMHP’s Mission is to enable access to gender affirming healthcare for youth accurately diagnosed with gender dysphoria and their families.
FMHP’s Vision is all youth with gender issues will have access to quality evaluation and treatment for their gender issues regardless of where they live.
GENDER DYSPHORIA is the distress or discomfort that arises from the incongruence of one’s assigned gender at birth and one’s gender identity. Gender dysphoria is categorized under the DSM-V as a mental disorder as it incurs stress and discomfort to the person experiencing it. Older versions of the DSM (III and IV) used the terms ‘transsexualism’ and ‘gender identity disorder’, which both pathologize the actual transgender identity itself. The DSM-V aims to separate the distress (the gender dysphoria) which can be a disorder, from the identity of the person (the actual being transgender), which is NOT a disorder.
